Why did you start blogging?

I stated blogging as a way to exercise my excess creative energy. I love my job but I feel like sometime I’m just waiting for the hours to go by and not embracing each day as it comes. On my blog, each day is a chance for me to inspire, meet new people, and showcase my personal style choices to people who would have never seen me if it wasn’t for my blog. Blogging has opened up an entirely new world to me. It really is a great community we are part of and everyone I meet is endlessly inspiring.

What is most inspirational for you when blogging?

I am inspired by so many different things: art work, old photographs, nature, music. But my biggest inspiration is street style. It’s so interesting to see how others put together an outfit, editorials are fascinating to me but I find people’s personal style to be much more entertaining. Although, I never see something and try to replicate it. It’s more of an appreciation I gather from others style’s. Style comes very organically to me. I start with one piece that catches my eye in the morning and continue layering until I feel like my look is perfected. Rarely do I plan what I am going to wear in advance. I’m way too busy to be able to do that!

Describe the type of man or woman who would love Another Day To Dress Up…

Regardless of a person’s personal fashion taste I think a variety of people can enjoy my blog. Blogging is somewhere to be inspired by others personal style even if it is far from your own. That one color combination or print mix could open up a whole new fashion world to you even if you don’t enjoy the specific garments of clothing others are wearing. But if you twisted my arm to actually answer the question I would say, anyone that enjoys sifting through piles and piles of garbage at second-hand shops until you find the one gem that was worth all of the time and effort. Also, anyone who appreciates the design and craftsmanship of vintage clothing. And last but not least, anyone who realizes that fashion is supposed to be fun and is willing to take the risk to wear something different and unexpected regardless of others reactions to it. After all, every day is Another Day To Dress Up!
