It was a proud parent moment yesterday as I saw Dean Quinn’s first presentation. I’ve followed Quinn’s work from his stunning BA collection from Central Saint Martins featuring his signature geometric black tubing beading that pops up in this new collection. He did follow up with a collection in London but then after a short stint in Milan, he has now decamped to New York. This well-travelled learning curve has produced a succinct but assured collection featuring those intricate beading details that form lines on the body but has a wearable ease about it that was lacking beforehand. Mint green and neon orange adds the right amount of zing to a collection that though short on looks made for a memorable NYFW debut. Here’s to a bigger collection next season.
