London Fashion Week Day 1 Favourites

This post is brought to you by Laetitia Wajnapel of MademoiselleRobot.com.

Today was the first day of London Fashion Week and it certainly started with a bang! Some of my favourite designers were showing their new collections today so it was very exciting indeed. Today’s fashion journey started with Jena.Theo at the Old Sorting Office. A very dramatic collection called “Fatale” inspired by the darker side of Hollywood glamour.  After that, I headed to the Orla Kiely presentation in the Portico Rooms and was transported to Palm Springs in the 60s. Models were reclining on sun loungers, looking forlorn and the collection itself was quite nostalgic. Last but not least, Canadian designer Jean-Pierre Braganza wowed us with a collection inspired by German architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. There were so many strong pieces I couldn’t put my camera down!

  1. I’ve heard that Orla Kiely’s show was amazing!

I love the catwalk design on this picture – you can totally concentrate on the clothes. Monochrome always wins!
