These last couple of IFB projects, featuring pastels and then brights, have really got me in the mood to take some sartorial risks. You’re a seriously creative and outgoing community when it comes to getting dressed each day (I mean, duh, we’re style bloggers)!

It seems like lately the mood of fashion has been heavily focus on color – color blocks, color pops, monochromatic looks – in just about any hue you can imagine. But what about our beloved stripes? Are we mad at plaid? I say it’s still the right time to embrace the fun and whimsy of prints, and then going totally overboard with it.

IFB Project #41: Print-on-Printed Matter

For this week’s project, I want you to show us how you mix your prints. Just one set of stripes won’t do it, and neither with your polkadot jeans. Pair your striped sweater with your floral jeans! A plaid shirt with a paisley skirt – get creative! If you can’t quite hit the right note in your own closet (though I’m sure you can – anything goes after all !), create a collage of your fantasy print-on-print (on-print?) look.

Share your post in the box below, we can’t wait to see what you come up with. You have until Tuesday April 3rd to add your link, then check back on Wednesday, April 4th for a round up of our favorite submissions!

  1. I just bought the perfect floral blouse at Bershka yesterday. It would have been perfect for a flower on flower print look!
