What’s the one thing we love better than a really good blog? A really good party.
Style bloggers Annie Vazquez of The Fashion Poet and Eugy & Simonett of The Goodwill Project are bringing those two elements together for the second time for their Fashion Bloggers Do It Better (Summer Edition) event coming up on June 28th.
On the heeels of a successful premier event back in March, the reprise is kicking things up a notch with a blogger fashion show as well as an on-site sketch artist providing renderings of the guests – gratis! Attendees will be able to mix and mingle over complimentary cocktails, as well as shop the runway looks (from six local pop up shops) on the spot.
Miami-based Bloggers modeling in the show include: Nany’s Klozet, Electric Blogarella, The Very Thought of You and Ria Michelle.
Vazquez felt inspired to put together a social event for Miami bloggers after attending the IFB conference back in February, so we can’t help but be thrilled that one of our community members felt such a strong call to action! We caught up with her yesterday to find out a little more about how she put the first Fashion Bloggers Do It Better event together and what we can look forward to with the summer edition:
“I decided to put together this event with the my partners so us Miami Fashion Bloggers could come together and help shape our city’s blogging community. The event unified us and it also strengthened our relationships with stores, publicists, boutique owners, designers and more who at first didn’t understand the clout we as bloggers have and often times were weary to collaborate with us. This time around, we’ve teamed up with Refinery29 and new major labels. I honestly can’t wait to go back to IFBcon again – the one in February this year truly changed my life as a business woman and a blogger.”
