In lieu of rumors swirling today that legendary Apple designer Sir Jonathon Ive is designing a limited edition Leica camera (whaaaa!), we’re rounding up five cool new cameras coming out soon to add to your quiver.
Leica X2 Edition Paul Smith
English fashion designer Paul Smith teamed up with the Leica X2, offering a stylish and bright alternative to the recent edition of the camera. The Leica X2 Edition Paul Smith will soon be available in limited quantities from select Leica retailers. [via Hypebeast]

Fujifilm X-E1
With most of the functionality of the pricier X-Pro1, the X-E1 mirrorless is a third of the size, featuring a 2.8-inch 460k-dot LCD, and a retractable flash directly above. The X-E1 will be hitting stores in April, carrying a $1,000 price tag, but if you go with the kit lens you will be $300 under the X-Pro1′s $1,700 price tag, making a better bang for your buck. Fujifilm XF1
Compact yet classy, the XF1 plays host to an array of features despite it’s small frame. The camera sports a 12 megapixel, 2/3″ EXR-CMOS sensor for superior image quality with exceptional low-light capabilities, advanced filters and full HD film recording on the inside, and is crafted out of aluminum wrapped in synthetic leather on the outside. Hasselbad Lunar
This camera may still be in prototype mode, it will sure be a treat once finished and in the stores. With a space-age design and a leathery grip, the Lunar is pretty snazzy — like €5,000 and APS-C 24.3 megapixel sensor snazzy. [via Engadget]

Leica V-Lux 4
Leica’s more affordable camera echoes Panasonic’s FZ200 model, with 12-megapixel V-Lux 4 super zoom, a 25-600mm equivalent lens with a constant, and a wide f/2.8 aperture to snap bright images at long distances. It also comes with a copy of Adobe Lightroom 4. [via Engadget]

They look like cool cameras! I’m in the market for my first DSLR and there are just so many choices of cameras, so I’ve been combing over some of the older photography posts.
These look like they are for real photography enthusiasts. Any suggestions for a great first camera to get for a beauty blogger (lots of product close ups and shots)?
