Boy, the internets sure is a crazy place.

But as bloggers, it’s our home. While there’s literally thousands of statistics about the internet, we wanted to share a handful that we thought our readers might find particularly interesting. See some cool things that happen on the world wide web in just 60 seconds, plus more!

 

In just 60 seconds…

  • There are 100,000 new tweets
  • 320+ new Twitter accounts
  • 6 million Facebook views
  • 204 million emails sent
  • 571 new websites created
  • 3,600 photos are shared on Instagram
  • 684,478 pieces of content are shared on Facebook

Also… 

  • 50% of Pinterest pincers are moms, and 80% of Pinners are women
  • 1 in 3 bloggers are moms
  • 73% of smartphone owners access social networks through apps at least once per day.

Makes you feel a little less guilty for not answering that last email yet, am I right?

    These stats, much like looking up into the starry sky, leave me feeling very teensy tiny in this universe.

    But they also emphasize how special it is when a picture or post stands out from the rest and gets recognition…

    Wow, interesting statistics. I had no idea so much was being shared so constantly – I suppose it makes sense but the numbers are still astonishing to see.

    I start every day with this “unread email” luggage. Happy it’s usually not over 100+ in the inbox, but I hate waiting for the answers and making others wait (as I do sometimes it too because of overcrowded email).

    I hope this information crashing us doesn’t make the process of finding and getting answers Longer. Here’s a possible (not welcomed) direction this mass of information leads to. Let’s admit it, people are getting a bit lazy, putting more pics named ”00156” instead of few more tags for us to find them! Well, you name it.
