The Gadget: Bryan Boy for Adrienne Landau unisex fur camera straps

What it costs: The silver fox fur strap will retail for about $600, and will be available at retailers like Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Barneys and Intermix.

What it does: These luxurious and clearly rather over-the-top fur camera straps will turn your DSLR into your chicest winter accessory. Of the project, Bryan told WWD:

“After blogging for eight years, people are aware of my aesthetic and what I love. It was time for me to do something really creative. Now is the time to explore my creativity and challenge myself to do something more. I don’t want to be 50 years old and still be taking pictures with my cell phone on the street.”

Why we picked it: We love that Bryan Boy is taking his love for fashion into a cool and original collaboration that speaks to his aesthetic. While we’ll reserve our thoughts on fur in fashion – you’ve got to love the glamour!

You’ve got me to be kidding me. $600 for a camera strap? Why in the world would I ever pay that much for a camera strap? I’d rather buy a new lens with that money!

Have to invest in a new camera……mine is not exactly a strap paradise, nor captures great pictures.

Interesting idea but I don’t really like it.
It’s way too expensive and something like that can be made at home very easily.

I agree! This feels like a sponsored post because IFB is always telling us tips and tricks for doing it our selves and not over-spending. You could buy a new 35mm f/2.0 lens for under $400 which would improve blog photography so much more….why would I spend $600 on a camera strap? It’s just not economical in these days.

Hi Chaucee, this is not a sponsored post. Bryan has been a very supportive and active member of IFB for years, speaking on IFBcon panels and giving interviews for our site content. We wanted to show our audience this collaboration he designed because it’s a cool project that’s separate from his blog but very much represents who he is. Of course if you’re looking to improve your photography, investing in a new lens would be a better use of your money than a very luxurious camera strap. We’re not saying every blogger should buy this, we’re celebrating an achievement for one of our most successful community members. Hope that helps, and thanks for your feedback!
