The Gadget: Monster DNA On Ear headphones

What it costs: $199 – $229 (You can shop around online for deals)

What it does: These noise-isolating headphones reduce ambient sound, and deliver clear audio for serious jamming out or TV and movie watching without distraction. They’re also lightweight and foldable which makes them easy to cart around in your bag. Other features? Dual audio input jacks make it so you can share music with friends, plus they come with Apple ControlTalk, so if you have an iPhone, you can take and make calls then get right back to the tunes.

Monster DNA Headphones

Why we picked it:  I have been an ear-buds girl for a long time, for no reason. They are kind of painful and one side always dies before the other. Putting on these headphones feels like experiencing sound in a different way, that’s both more comfortable and more sensory. I wear them on my walk home to listen to music on the noisy NYC streets or talk to my mom on the phone, and at home to watch movies and drown out street and neighbor noise. Plus, they’re really good-looking.

*Monster was a sponsor of the IFB conference, and the headphones were a gift – but Monster did not sponsor this post. I just really like these headphones.

I want one of those cool headphones but can’t get myself into spending that much, I’d rather buy new shoes or save for new lenses. But I tried a few at best buy they are pretty cool. xo http://pinksole.com
