It's the weekend, and you definitely deserve some time off. But there are plenty of fun, easy things you can do over the weekend to make small improvements to your blog. Here are a few ideas!

  1. Create a mini photo studio.

This can be as simple as hanging a white sheet on the wall close to a good source of light or clearing out a corner space with an appealing background that can be your go-to when it comes to taking photos of items like makeup or accessories. Check out these easy tips.

  2. Learn one new trick on your DSLR.

If you're anything like me, your fancy camera has a lot of great features that go unused because you haven't yet taken the time to learn how to make the most of them. This site has some great ideas.

  3. Optimize your photographs.

You want great-looking photographs on your site, but extra-large photos can cause slow load times, and that can negatively affect your traffic. There are several easy WordPress plugins that can mitigate the problem; check out some good ones here.

  4. Visit an art gallery.

If you tend to spend time shopping on the weekends, pop into an art gallery even if it's just for a few minutes. Science says it will decrease stress and could get your creative brain thinking in a different way and generate new ideas for your blog.

  5. Create a one-sheet

If you already have a media kit, this should be easy. If you don't have one yet, it can be your first step towards creating one! Get some tips here.
