We held out hope in December, and now our dreams have come true: You can now toggle between Instagram accounts! Account switching is now available with Instagram version 7.15 for iOS and Android. From the Instagram blog:
Starting this week, you can quickly and easily switch between multiple accounts on Instagram! ?
I just added a second account in literally two minutes. Simply go to your settings and scroll to the bottom. Under “Clear Search History,” you should see “Add Account.” Click on that, then log into the account you'd like to add. Voila! (If you have any problems, check out the Ig help center.)
From there, you can easily toggle between accounts by using a dropdown that will appear at the top of your screen. With multiple accounts added, look for the profile photo associated with your accounts to keep track of which account you're posting to at any given time.
If you ever need to remove an account you've added, just log out and it will be gone. Also note that you will now get push notifications from all of the accounts you're logged into, so you may want to adjust your push preferences accordingly.
Hallelujah! It just got about 100 times easier to manage your multiple Instagram accounts. But it also got easier to accidentally post your glamour selfie on a client's business account, so be careful out there!
