I’ve been continually hit with sexy today at Mac Milk studios. The fact that Kevork Kiledjian showed dress after dress of body conscious and flesh-gazing properties, should have put me off and made feel like a pudgy lemon sitting at fashion week like a fraud. Instead though, there’s an admirable quality to this specific awareness of Kiledjian’s customer. He knows a thing or two about a super sexy party dress and he’s not going to veer too far from that remit. Whatever separates Kiledjian served up didn’t fail to come with its extra dose of overt sexiness. Playing with a fairly strict palette of white, hot and olive green sold the super slashed and super short dresses in addition to a floral print that softened Kiledjian’s vision for his empowered (and ultra thin) woman who clearly spurs his work on. One might comment that there’s no new wheel reinvention when it comes to these strictly sexy dress archetypes but I suspect that the Kiledjian woman isn’t so fussed.
