Tibi SS12: Minimal Elegance

They say the 90's are coming back, but I'll really believe it when minimalism comes back in full force. Tibi is a label that continuously creates feminine collections and this season in particular there is an air of effortless chic paired with a decadent minimalism. An a-line pleated dress or silk wide legged trousers that flutters  as you walk. The perfectly fitted button down with crisp blazer. As with anything minimalistic, it takes a lot of perfection to make it look right, I think Tibi achieved that last night at Lincoln Center.

This show was notable for two reasons, one that blogger, Elin Kling styled the runway looks. I'm sure this has happened before, but I can't recall a blogger styling a runway show, particulalry in New York Fashion Week. Tibi also had placed me of all people in the front row. Now that's special in my own private world, only because I've never sat front row in the “tents” before, so in a way that's special in it's own right.

I also spotted Olivia Palermo backstage! We had been seated next to each other  at a lunch once a year ago, and she remembered me! She was so nice and when I asked to take a photo of her, she turned on her photogenic smile, really amazing. I wish I could do that! 😉

Here are some other highlights from the show, it was super fun!

Wow, Jennine! That must have been such an amazing experience… 😀 Everything about this show feels wonderful! The collection, of course, is incredible, but then I’m also so happy for Elin on such an opportunity! (Go bloggers!) As for Olivia, her style is just amazing… aand she’s utterly beautiful. 😀

I am in love with the color palette and Elin did amazing with the styling. The silk shirts are very chic and give just the right amount of room to slip into.
