The Fashion Blogger’s Guide to the TIME’s 100 Most Influential List

Every year, Time magazine releases its “100 Most Influential People in the World”, a list that is meant to “inspire, entertain, challenge and change” us. Entrepreneurs, philanthropists, musicians, activists, protesters, the list is full of this year’s big names. While some of the 100 were a tad nonsensical (Rihanna? Really?), a few actually resonated with us because of their vision, innovation, strength and fearlessness.

Which of Time’s picks are the most influential to the fashion digital and blogging community? Here is your guide to the 100 list:

What do you think about Time's list? Do you agree with its pick? Who would you rather see on their roundup?

PS: Sheryl’s 2012 TED talk about the lack of women leaders still gets us fired up and is definitely a video you check out if you have free time.

I’ll have to disagree with your comment about Rihanna’s being on the list as ‘nonsensical’. Rihanna is hugely influential when it comes to style and fashion. She wears almost everything flawlessly. Rihanna’s done it all..from grunge to hippie to hip hop…and she’s done it perfectly with her own flair. Her style and sense of fashion from the tip of her shoes to the top of her ever changing hair is dope!

You might not agree…but the truth is that Rihanna is influential. When it comes to fashion and otherwise! She has millions of twitter followers and zillions of fans. Rihanna can single handedly resurrect a style…Like Whitney Above me said..she has gone from Glamour, to Street style and millions of people follow suit. If that is not influential then what is???

Though I understand what you meant in this post (at least I think you meant “business wise”)however, with 17 million followers just on Twitter, I say Rihanna is influential to many, especially younger people. So, when I read the Times list and seen her name, I didn’t even blink twice. She dyes her hair and the Internet (including news sites) have to comment on it.
