Watch The CFDA Awards Digital Broadcast on June 5TH

Fast on the heels of the Met Gala's first ever red carpet live stream, the Council of Fashion Designers of America will digitally broadcast the CFDA awards on June 5th, exclusively on

The Show

Airing on June 5th (the event is the evening of June 4th), it will feature all aspects of the awards ceremony – from red carpet highlights and interviews through the final bow of the night.’s Tim Blanks will serve as the red carpet host, speaking with some of the most influential names in fashion, entertainment, sports, and music. In addition to acceptance speeches and short films, this year’s Awards will include several special live moments paying tribute to the CFDA’s legacy. (It's the council's 50th anniversary.)

Get Involved

Though we can't watch as it happens, on the night of the awards you can stay in touch with the live event through’s Editors’ Diary, where editors will be using Instagram and Tumblr to feed live moments to followers.  Also during the live event, a Twitter portal featuring the conversation about this year’s Awards will be available on’s CFDA-dedicated section.  To join in, you can use the hashtag #CFDAAwards

The digital broadcast will air on Tuesday, June 5th at 12PM EST on’s homepage as well as on a CFDA-dedicated section of the site. (Which currently has an amazing photo gallery of highlights from past awards, as well as a feature on media honorees Scott Schuman and Garance Dore.)

We love that these once high-profile only, closed-door parties and awards ceremonies are being shared with fashion-lovers everywhere through social media and digital technology. Will you tune in or participate in the fun, come June 4th?

    I couldn’t be more excited – as a CFDA intern, I get to go to the awards this year, which is something I’ve always dreamed about! But I will definitely be watching all the footage the next day as well 🙂
