Anna Dello Russo Reaches Out To Bloggers To Introduce Her New H&M Line

Anna Dello Russo is the guardian of fashion — or so she says in her new promotional music video for her accessory line collaboration with H&M. The very glam video has been recently getting a lot of hype, as it should —  I mean, could you picture any other Vogue editor dancing, posing, and talk-singing a la Countess LuAnn deLesseps?

Even better, the video features Dello Russo decked out in a tight black dress (which she revealed she had bought at a sex shop) and her bling. And though it's a bit difficult to understand what she is saying with her heavily Italian-accented English layered over a nightclub-y beat, she gives out gems of advice such as, “Wear your coat as dress!” and “Fashion is always uncomfortable.”

To introduce the line, the street style fixture hosted an afternoon Fashion Week fete for bloggers at the Eloise room at The Plaza Hotel in New York City yesterday. With miniature chairs, pink walls, and macaroons, the Japanese Vogue editor traipsed around the room chatting with her friends and fellow fashion bloggers, which included Rumi Neely, Susie Bubble, Bryanboy, Garance Dore, Derek Blasberg, and Geri Hirsch, in typical Dello Russo style.

The line features jewelry, sunglasses, shoes, suitcases, and bags with a whole lot of gold and turquoise, which she describes as, “a dash of fairy tale magic, or Alice's white rabbit – a door to a new dimension.”

And it's for a good cause! According to a press release, a portion of her commission will be donated to the Japanese branch of the International Red Cross.

    Glad she’s reaching out to bloggers but I do wish she’d have reached out to the not so famous bloggers as well. Looking forward to the line all the same 😉

      Mte. She basically “reached” out to the same bloggers that are on that network she started. There are much more inspirational blogs out there if you ask me.

    I still have to decide if I love her or hate her. I mean, she’s a marketing genius, especially if we’re talking about self-marketing: how many fashion editors we know that have been able to market their own figure like she did?
    I don’t like her style though, I can’t stand gold and golden accessories, and I find her over all too noisy, trashy and whatnot.
    However she reminds me of my own country, and I don’t know if I should be proud or ashamed.
    Proud about how far she went or ashamed about how Italian she looks, sounds and feel!
    As far as I’m concerned, I’m only upset about people thinking that she’s a “famous fashion blogger” . She’s not a blogger for goodness’ sake!

    I agree that she should have reached out to more bloggers but you can’t blame her for reaching out to the most popular ones in order to market herself in the best possible way. She definitely isn’t the first or last person to do so!

    I really liked the collection as a whole, it was very Anna even though I’m not cool enough or old enough really to pull off the thigh high boots!
