  • “In early October, Hearst scored a splashy coup when it convinced Carine Roitfeld, who seemed elated to be free of corporate constraints after her decade at French Vogue, to join the company as the global fashion director of Harper’s Bazaar. The job has her styling four fashion stories a year that will appear simultaneously across all international editions. But upon the announcement, it was also somewhat vaguely defined. • Carine Roitfeld chats about her new job at Harper's Bazaar, a fashion shoot during Hurricane Sandy, and about that time Karl Lagerfeld got arrested. [Daily Beast]
  • “At 65, Diane von Furstenberg still embodies sultry beauty and feminine power. She is womanly, sensual, and utterly bien dans sa peau as she lounges on a sofa in her office on West 14th Street in Manhattan, portraits and murals and photographs of her in all her feline splendor staring down from the walls. Her hair floats in a corona of unbrushed curls around her head. She wears a giant gold bracelet, and her legs peep out from underneath a floaty green silk dress, gamine as an adolescent’s.” [W]
  • The guessing game begins… who will replace Nicolas Ghesquière at Balenciaga? [Fashionista]
  • The battle of the Burch trial only gets juicier… [On The Runway]
