Daily Inspiration: You can do anything, but not everything.

anythingnoteverything

Bloggers do a lot of different jobs. We're writers, photographers, marketers, entrepreneurs, developers and the list goes on. It's easy to think that when you get in and do so many different tasks that you can do everything. To be honest, the thought has crossed my mind in my own life. But the fact is, we can't be all things to all people. It's actually better to focus on what you do best, whether it be creating a specific type of content, being a writer, a photographer,  or even a marketer and make that a priority. This will help you find your way to something you truly love, rather than spending time working on things that you'd rather leave to ones who are better at it. So don't be so hard on yourself!

This is completely true. I tried to do it all myself: writing, photos, all the social media, and it’s so hard to do it all alone when you still have a job on the side.
Balance (and help from others) is everything!

True! As my blog became more “prominent,” I’ve been getting more and more invitations to events. I’ve had to turn some down because I don’t want to overload myself (especially in the summer). Sure, the fashion world slows down a bit in July and August, but galas and food-related events don’t break. There’s always SOMETHING (and it doesn’t help when I’m trying to diversify my posts to include MORE food/travel/”culture”)!

I also have contributors help me out with posts – especially in the event and travel categories, but because they’re doing this as a side/fun thing, I’m really easy on them when it comes to due dates (except for events – can’t really delay event posts since it would be “old news” if it goes live, say, two weeks after the fact (unless you twist it in a way that it would be relevant even a month or so after it takes place)…

You know, lately I think that I can do everything in my blog, but sometimes I haven’t enough time to do everything what I want. Like simple thing, shoot beautiful things and post it in my blog, or just post some article on my blog,
And I’m absolutely agree with you, we can do anything but can’t do everything.

Yes, so true. We have to be aware of our limits, and focus only on what’s most important for your blog – JR of SpoiledLittleLAGirls.com
