For Fashion Bloggers focused on making a living from their blogs, deciding how much time to spend on social media usually weight on two things: how much traffic does a platform drive and can you make money from it? A lot of Fashion Bloggers have vibrant communities on Facebook, where they may not comment on a blog, they'll comment on a Facebook Page. Or they'll share your post with their friends. Either way, there is quite a bit of activity on Facebook, and it's very different from that of which you'll see on the likes of Twitter or Pinterest.
That said, I've noticed people on Facebook don't like to leave the site that much. According to the Harvard Business Review, “38% of users have purchased something after liking, sharing or commenting on it on Facebook.” So does that mean you should post random affiliate links on said platform? Well, maybe, but you can also create shop-able lookbooks that your followers can browse around.

Enter Lookbook Cloud. An Australian based startup created this user-friendly software that enables you to designate “hotspots” on your images, or, “interactive sliders” so when a user hovers over those areas information about the product (and links) pop up. If you have followers that do not necessarily come on over to your blog… this would be an excellent way to monetize that audience.
The service used to cost $9.95 per month, but for a limited time, is now available for free to Fashion Bloggers.
