Breaking All the Rules With 15 of Fashion Blogging’s Rising Stars

Lust for Life

We've talked about Fashionista's list of the top 20 bloggers. Today there's a new list in town, this time from The Fashion Spot, and it's refreshing because it's not a “top” list, it's an “up and coming” list put together by Fohr Card, a service that connects bloggers with high-end brands. It's safe to say that this particular overview is limited in the sense that all of the bloggers were chosen from the Fohr Card population. But it's also refreshing in that most of them are not (yet) household names—at least not in non-blogger households.

Takeaway: there are no rules.

My biggest takeaway from perusing it is that there are no rules. Minimalism maybe be a theme, but the polar opposite is also represented. Some blogs are eponymous and straightforward in their branding, while others have mysterious monikers. Many hail from New York and L.A., but some are also blogging away in Minneapolis and South Africa.

Here are the top 5 bloggers on the list, click here for the rest!
1. The Fashion Guitar
2. Lust for Life
3. Harper and Harley
4. The Chronicles of Her
5. Egg Canvas

I'd like to see a little more diversity on this list, but overall it's an inspiring roundup. Who are your favorites? Who did they miss?

It’s great reading about up and coming bloggers get recognition. I especially like seeing men on the list as they can often get overlooked.
Also, thanks for sharing the Fohr Card article. How have I not heard of this?

As a blogger focused on originality and being true to yourself, it’s cool to see others breaking the fashion ‘rules’. Because really, what are rules anyway??? A social ideal, a means to control? No girls [and guys], rock it!

It would have been nice to see some diversity in age as well as blog focus.

One I’m loving is Queen of Jet Lags. She’s just one of the best. And still she’s not on that list!
