You won't find a slew of outfit photos here. Instead, she scours the deep corners of the internet's luxury offerings so you don’t have to. It’s the perfect combination of everything you need to be inspired, therefore a great add-on to your daily reads. I know I’ll be adding TheFashioniStyle to mine. Below she shares a little about her journey in the blogging world.
1. Tell us about how you started TFS and why?
“As a graphic and fashion designer and working for a few years for a business magazine, I decided to start my own venture with this fashion blog. Also, I felt there was a gap in fashion blogs. Most blogs today are full of posts with pictures of bloggers wearing their everyday outfits and it is kind of saturated. I didn't want to do that, I wanted to have a different approach.
On the other hand, there are not that many blogs dedicated to high-end designers, and that's what we do. We are oriented mostly to high end designer products, trends and fashion news.
I like to think about the blog as a daily fashion fix, the voice of fashion, beauty and style, that curates fashion from all around the web for you in one place.”
2. How do you use social media, and what role does it play in your blogging life?
“They are an important part of our blogging as they help to redirect some traffic to the posts. I personally love Pinterest and Instagram.”
3. How do you monetize your blog and your brand?
“I mostly do it through affiliate links, giveaways and sponsored posts.”
4. What is your favorite thing about blogging?
“Having the freedom to work in what I love the most, being my own boss and working during my own time.”
5. Did you have any resolutions for 2016?
“Yes, working hard on growing our social media account followers, mostly Instagram and Pinterest.”
6. Who are your style gurus?
“I've actually always been my own style guru and I tend to wear more of what I like and less of whatever is trending. But I have a few people who I follow for inspiration like Giovanna Battaglia and Olivia Palermo.”
7. How would you describe your style?
“Classic and fashion-forward but true to who I am.”
8. What are your favorite accessories of the moment?
“The new interchangeable handbag straps from Fendi and Valentino. I want them all!”
9. How has blogging affected your career?
“I have established a reputation as an expert in my field. It has helped me build my professional credibility as well as network with others in the industry.”
10. What advice would you give to aspiring fashion bloggers?
“A successful blog is not built overnight, blogging takes time and at least a bit of skill.
Try to post as often as possible.
Never collaborate with brands that don't represent you.
Blog about what you feel most passionate about.
Always give credit where credit is due, credit all sources of words and photographs.”
11. If you could have a drink with your favorite designer, fashion blogger or icon, who would it be and why?
“Valentino Garavani. I have the biggest fashion crush on his label and my closet is full of Valentino pieces. Of course if Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli could tag along, I'd be happier! I love how they fuse styles to create such a distinctive style for the brand every season.”
