How to Trigger Your Inner Creativity When You’re Not Really Inspired

However, our creativity juices aren’t always present. Most of the times, individuals who use their creativity daily for professional and personal purposes are the ones who notice it first.

Therefore, if you’re looking for more creativity, I’d suggest spending time with people – that in your opinion – are creative. When you hang around with them, you can share insights, feedback, and you can also help each other deal with problems that previously aroused. Spending your free time around creative people can not only boost your creative juices, but it’ll also influence your career in a positive way.

3. Make Physical Exercise a Daily Habit


Exercising your brain’s muscles is not enough to keep your creativity on high levels. Everything must be in balance; therefore, you need to take care of your other “temple” too. Physical exercise is a great way to stimulate your creative flows. My statement has already been proven countless times, so there’s no reason to doubt the benefits. Of course, laziness might stay in the way of many people, but that’s not an excuse. Do you want more creativity? Then start working out!

Famous artists and writers like Stephen King, John Milton, or Charles Dickens do it. They used to walk around in different places – mostly nature – and look for inspiration in the meanwhile. If they do it, you now have no more reason to avoid it.

4. Take a Break Or/And Disconnect



Continuous creative work is eventually going to cause a breakdown. A mental breakdown, if you’d like that, happens when you work too hard on something and you don’t take enough breaks. These breaks aren’t just those “mini-breaks” that you take during the day, even though those will help too. The real breaks I’m talking about are moments when you fully disconnect from work.

5. Travel

If you think about it, contradicting his statement would be quite hard. If you’ve traveled to a different culture for at least once, you must have had new experiences, new tastes, new smells, new feelings…new everything. In other words, when your external environment throws new things at you from every angle, you’re “feeding” your brain with what it needs in order to get used to being productive. In addition, traveling is fun. Who wouldn’t like to see more of this wonderful world?

It’s easy to get stuck with your creativity when you’re doing the same things each and every day. Create diversity in your life by planning to go away for a while. If you don’t want to, then just change the places in which you spend your time at.


6. Meditate



Meditation is an extremely helpful activity that will take your creativity to whole new levels. When you reach a deep meditative state, you are able to connect with your higher self – the entity that lives within our subconscious minds and never shows up unless summoned. How do you summon it? By becoming aware of it. The easiest way to connect with your higher nature is to practice meditation and mindfulness daily.

Believe it or not, higher states of focus could also be counted as meditative states. When your mind and thoughts are no longer in contradiction, you can focus on certain tasks without feeling anything else but them. Wise people say that the human’s mind is an “infinite creative potential”. Learn how to grasp it, understand it, and then use it. I promise you won’t have to look for creativity tips again!





Remember. Creativity doesn’t always come and go. You are a huge influencing factor for its arrival. The more you work on it, the better you’ll manage to “summon” it whenever you need to or feel like.
