Some people are into the minimalist vibe, but there are plenty of other people (myself included) who are all about embracing color and maximalism! My philosophy is the more color, the merrier so I'm constantly scouting the streets of New York City looking to inject color into my Instagram feed and blog posts. I have found some epic street art along the way, so instead of keeping it all to myself, I thought it would be way more fun to share the love! Here are my top 7 Instagrammable walls in NYC and Brooklyn.
Heart Wall First Street Garden
Let's start with the heart wall by the First Street Garden. The wall is located at 33 E. 1st Street and looks a bit different now because the art is always being changed up. As of a couple of weeks ago, there was a heart wall there but it's just not this exact same one. This full post can be found here.
Striped Wall Lower East Side
I love this striped wall at 87 Rivington Street on the Lower East Side. The gates go up when the gallery is open so check what their hours are if you're planning on stopping by. You can see this original post here.
Striped Wall Bushwick
This wall in Bushwick is one of my favorite discoveries and I do a happy dance every time I stop by. It's right off the Morgan Avenue stop on the L train on Bogart Street, 49 Bogart Street to be exact. My original post can be found here.
Ombre Wall Dumbo
I've gone to this ombre wall in Dumbo quite a few times and it's probably clear why I keep going back! It can be found between Adam and York Street, close to the York Street stop on the F train. Full post here.
Wing Wall Union Square
This exact wing wall doesn't exist anymore but there's currently a more colorful wing wall right near Union Square by Broadway and 19th Street on the scaffolding (it's this one). I think having temporary wings is so much fun!
Hearts Wall East Village
You can't go wrong with hearts in your background and this one can be found in the East Village at St. Marks Place between Avenue A and 1st Avenue.
