I think the recent update is an excellent step to banishing the poor quality / spammy sites from the index and keeping webmasters on their toes to include quality content on their sites and think of the user.

Google is being very clear with its Pagerank algorithm, and whilst a ranking is not indicative of traffic, it is still something to aspire to, and shows us if we are doing a good thing with our websites.

I recently commented that getting higher up in the rankings should be the result of hard work in creating a quality and useful resource for other web users as opposed to simply 'paying for links' to get to the top.

Love live Pagerank.... and we've just jumped up 3 places! woo hoo!

Si
http://www.cdvds.co.uk

Google is being very clear with its Pagerank algorithm, and whilst a ranking is not indicative of traffic, it is still something to aspire to, and shows us if we are doing a good thing with our websites.

I recently commented that getting higher up in the rankings should be the result of hard work in creating a quality and useful resource for other web users as opposed to simply ‘paying for links’ to get to the top.

Love live Pagerank…. and we’ve just jumped up 3 places! woo hoo!
