Links à la Mode: The IFB Weekly Roundup
Links not only build traffic, they build a community.
One of the most important things to building my blog was by creating linkable content, when I was just starting out, and even now I’ve been around for a while, it’s always good to put my links out there in as many places for people to find my blog. It’s also a good way to get connected to other bloggers, either through active commenting, or through links, sharing traffic is always a good thing.
As part of building the IFB community, we’re starting a linking group for the IFB members.. it’s opt-in as with all aspects of IFB, and there is only on real rule:
If you post your link, you must publish the ‘Links à la Mode’ on your blog.
Here is where you sign up to be a part of the weekly-round up. Each Thursday IFB will publish a weekly round-up post available to the IFB community.
Being a part of this is easy… you can sign up for the roundup in the forums:

Then you just need to do two things:
- Post the link of your best post of the week by Midnight, New York time Wednesday.
- Publish the entire “Links à la Mode” with “Links à la Mode” in the title of the post before Monday of the following week.
You may change the order of the links, or use different images, but you must have all the links published in the original IFB post. It’s all up to you! Think of it as a free post… one more thing to check of your list for the day… now that’s nice thing, isn’t it?

What a great idea– not only as a means of sharing & building links, but also as a means of discovering new content & writers!
This is a fantastic idea.
