What is Links a la Mode:

This is one of  IFB’s most special and unique community-building groups. Each week we encourage the bloggers in our community to submit a link to their best blog post of the past 7 days. A rotating selection of editors then selects 20 posts from the pool to share on Links A La Mode. When all 20 selected bloggers then share the links on their site, it drives traffic and fosters community growth!

Each Thursday at noon, we post these 20 best submissions of the week to share with the whole community on our main site. (You can see past LALM posts here.)Please note that there are a few rules for participating:

1. You must be a member of IFB. If you’re not, it’s easy to sign up right here.

2. Submit your link by midnight (12 a.m.) EST on Tuesday. When submitting your link, please include a brief one-sentence introduction or summary. For tips on what kinds of posts our editors look for, check out this IFB article.

3. You may only submit one link per week, but you may submit a link every week if you wish. We encourage to keep your submissions recent, dating back no more than a few weeks – and make it a good one!

4. If your link is selected for the week, you must create a post on your blog [with “Links à la Mode ” in the title] that includes the LALM code (which is always available on the bottom of the page, here.) before Monday of the following week. This is what makes Links a la Mode special – when all 20 bloggers share the links on their site, it drives traffic and fosters community growth!

  • You may change the order of the links, or use different images when you post, but you must have all the links published in the original IFB post. (Using the code instead of copying / pasting the live text works well.)
  • If for some reason you post your link here, are selected, and do not publish the above in it’s entirety, you won’t be able to participate in Links à la Mode the following week. (We will delete your post. Sad!)

5. Links à la Mode is sponsored by Money earned from the sponsorship goes toward IFB’s development and hosting costs, and to help pay for expenses to keep the community running. If you like, you can support IFB by posting the *OPTIONAL* Shopbop link in your roundup, so we can develop more ways to help your blog!

*Please Note: You will not be personally notified if you’re selected for the round up. Please check the IFB homepage at noon on Thursday, or follow us on Twitter or Facebook for a link to the post!

<h3><strong>Oh the Places We'll Go...</strong></h3>
This week we had a lot of thoughtful submissions, with it being Women's History Month, and International Women's day, we had excellent homage's to our female heroes. Traveling seemed to be a big theme with Spring Break coming up, and the weather looking much better these days (in the Northern Hemisphere anyway). And we also had some wonderful tips and tricks for bloggers from the community, which is always nice to see how everyone approached blogging differently. How exactly do you be authentic online? It could be an easier journey than you think.
