Do we have to be overly concerned that other people are successful? Do other people's successes indicate our own demise? I hope the answer is “no.”
I find that when I'm heads down and working on my own stuff, I don't have time to get upset about what other people are doing. Whether that means success for my own blogs or not, it certainly means that I'm focusing on my own work…which is the only way to develop something meaningful. Sure, we should all know what's going on out there, but it's better to take inspiration from successful people rather than to try to tear them down. In the end, what does tearing down someone achieve?
I totally needed this today. I’ve been blogging for about 3 weeks to a month, and I have totally just felt down and out because my blog seems to just not be picking up. I’m regularly on Facebook/Tumblr/Twitter and updating things to make it work, plus I’m working constantly on making quality content. I just don’t know if I’m impatient or if my blog is just not reaching other people. I’m trying to be voice for my generation of twenty-somethings. I’m just writing what’s on my heart or what happens in my day. I’m not sure what else to do. Do I wait? Do I call it quits? It’s so easy to get discouraged when you are passionate about something and want to reach people.

Bethany, just keep going. Before you know it you will have built up a wealth of content and networks. In my opinion these things only get better. Soon you will see people falling around you and suddenly you will be at the top of the pile 🙂

Thank you, Charles (:
I really needed that encouragement.
I love being able to have this community of like-minded people.

Love this quote!

I think you’re right, people of success should be an inspiration to us
Thank you! Needed that encouragement. I actually just decided to unfollow a lot of blogs on bloglovin’ (temporarily) I have been following not because I don’t like them but I was reading and comparing my blog to them way too much. Sometimes you have to just focus on your blog and be confident and happy with your product and be ready to support not only your success but the success of others. Success comes in time.

of course we should not try to shoot down these successful people, these people should be an inspiration to us
Great advice! Thank you for the post.
Successful people are very talented people and hard workers, they never bother about if anybody tell about anything. Thanks for the tips.
