Ever been confused on how to make an animated GIF? Or do you not have Photoshop? Don't worry… imgflip makes animated GIFs from your videos in a snap! So if you have a favorite clip from a movie, or would like to strut your stuff, or in my case have a moment you would like to last forever… like my 4-month-old son punching a balloon and laughing.
I won't get into the endless possibilities you can create animated GIFs with, so we'll just cut to the chase.
Step 1: Go to https://imgflip.com/gif-maker
Step 2: Upload your video
Step 3: Select your settings
Some features like removing the watermark and getting a larger GIF (unlimited dimensions) require you to upgrade to the Pro Version which costs about $9.95 a month. So if you're an avid GIF maker, it's probably worth the investment. Though you can get Photoshop Creative Cloud for $19/month and it has full features. That said… the free version is quite fun!
Step 4: Generate your GIF & Download it!
Here's what I ended up with.. it's not the BEST… but not bad for a test:
And that's it!

I find photoshop to be a lot easier! And you don’t have that terrible watermark 🙁
I’ve been using gifs in my blog posts since my website’s relaunch — they’re addicting!
thank you for sharing your trick, before I used to do with a series of images, definitely those were not as attractive as yours.
You can also use: www.vipgif.com to turn your favorite Instagram or YouTube video into a GIF! Best part, you can remove that pesky watermark, so your readers will give you all the credit!
If you only have photos I will create an animated GIF for you in Photoshop – No watermarks — See an animated GIF I created for Balmain

I haven’t used GIF images on my posts, because I had read somewhere that Google doesn’t like them. However, I’ve seen them on many posts lately, so I might want to give a try. Thanks for the tutorial! 🙂
